The dilemma: new role, old reflexes Many managers fail not because of a lack of competence, but because of role diffusion.
The sandwich syndrome: Torn between the expectations of the Supervisory Board (figures) and the team (empathy).
The „buddy trap“ (closeness vs. distance): Yesterday a colleague, today a superior. How much closeness is authentic, how much distance is necessary for tough decisions?
The micromanagement vicious circle: Because there is a lack of trust in the delegation, they intervene operationally. The result: you work 80 hours, the team stagnates.
Our approach: The 4 pillars of leadership identity
1. radical role clarification (The Role Audit) We analyze your stakeholder environment with razor-sharp precision.
- What must Do it yourself? (Non-negotiable core tasks)
- What want You do? (Passion & Strength)
- What may You no longer do? (The „Not-To-Do“ list for ex-managers)
2. proximity & distance: the architecture of power Leadership needs solitude. If you want to be „Everybody's Darling“, you are „Everybody's Douche“. We define your „Professional Intimacy“: How you remain humanly approachable without sacrificing your authority for unpopular decisions. We call this: Benevolent severity.
3. expectation management & communication Disappointment is always the result of false expectations. We develop your „Leadership User Manual“: How do you communicate your standards to your team? How do you manage the expectations of your peers and the board before conflicts arise?
4. effectiveness (impact) instead of busyness Peter Drucker said: „Efficiency is doing things right; effectiveness is doing the right things.“ We identify the 20% of your actions that deliver 80% of the result. Everything else is delegated, automated or eliminated.
Who is this module for?
Newly appointed CEOs / C-Level: Navigating the „First 100 Days“ safely.
Managers in crisis: If the team does not follow or the results stagnate.
Entrepreneurs in growth: When the company becomes too big to be managed „on call“.
Your result after the process
Sleep: Because you know that your team will perform even when you are not in the room.
Clarity: You know exactly what your role is in the morning - and what it is not.
Respect: You are no longer perceived as a „buddy“, but as a „leader“.

Leadership role and effectiveness: coaching for sustainable leadership excellence
Effective leadership is not a question of title, but of consciously dealing with one's own role. In the Executive Coaching At Ihr Coaching Institut, we work specifically on developing your leadership effectiveness - from role clarity to communication and strategic influence.
Many managers experience a discrepancy between their formal position and their actual impact. This is precisely where our coaching approach comes in: We help you to fulfill your leadership role authentically and systematically increase your effectiveness. We use evidence-based methods such as the LINC Personality Profiling, 360-degree feedback and situational leadership models.
In the Management coaching we work on the core dimensions of effective leadership: self-leadership as the basis for leading others, strategic communication and stakeholder management, decision-making under uncertainty, team dynamics and organizational understanding, as well as personal resilience and Stress regulation.
Our coaches themselves have many years of management experience at C-level and understand the challenges from their own practical experience. This combination of methodological expertise and practical experience enables sparring at eye level, which will help you to make tangible progress in your leadership role.
Our coaching is particularly effective when there is a change in leadership, when taking on larger areas of responsibility and in situations where previous leadership strategies have reached their limits. We support you in developing new options for action and strengthening your leadership effectiveness in the long term.
„The coaching on leadership effectiveness has fundamentally changed the way I lead. I communicate more clearly, delegate more effectively and am much more effective in my role as a board member.“ - M. Berger, CFO, Mittelstand, Frankfurt
Is this training or coaching?
It's executive sparring. We don't do role-playing. We analyze your stakeholder map, your power base and your communication. It's strategic work on your positioning.
How quickly will I see results?
The „aha effects“ for role clarity often come in the first session. Implementation (behavioral change) usually takes 3 to 6 months alongside the job.
Can we do this before I take on the new role?
Absolutely. This is the ideal case („pre-boarding“). This way you avoid the classic pitfalls of the first 100 days before they happen.
How do I increase my effectiveness as a manager?
Through targeted executive coaching, you will identify your strengths, develop your leadership style and learn how to maximize your impact on teams and stakeholders. ICF-certified coaches support you in this process.
What role does self-reflection play in leadership?
Self-reflection is a central component of effective leadership. It helps you to identify blind spots, break through behavioral patterns and lead more authentically.
For whom is executive coaching suitable for effectiveness?
The coaching is aimed at managers at all levels - from team leader to C-level - who want to sustainably increase their leadership effectiveness.
How long does a coaching process for leadership effectiveness take?
As a rule, a coaching process comprises 8-12 sessions over 6-9 months, whereby the time frame is individually adapted.
